ABOUT HIGHLAND ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL
Competency through individual learning
Highland Academy recognizes that students' different learning needs, family backgrounds and personal interests require individually designed educational programs.
Project Based Studies
Students learn by actively solving problems and finding that each task may have more than one solution.
Students learn how personal ethics relate to moral codes, as well as building responsibility, leadership, integrity, and teamwork.
Classes are small and accommodate individualized assessments of the full range of each student's achievements.
Each student has an advisor with whom they can meet to address important personal, social, future career, and education issues.
PTSO CORE PROGRAMS
What we do
In order to support the school's educational goals, the PTSO raises funds and recruits volunteers to drive a number of programs to enhance school spirit, support the efforts of teachers and staff, and provide students with an environment and opportunities conducive to wider horizons and long term excellence.
